Bybit

Tradiflux works with Bybit's Unified Trading Account. In the Add Exchange dialog Bybit has four account types:

On all four you can use smart orders, price alerts, bots and the AI assistant. Recurring buy bots run on Spot accounts only.

Create an API key on Bybit

Log in to bybit.com and open API in your profile menu.
Click Create New Key and choose System-generated API Keys.
Choose API Transaction and name the key, for example Tradiflux.
Select Read-Write and enable the trading permissions of the Unified Trading Account: orders and positions for contracts, and spot trading.
Leave withdrawals and transfers off. Tradiflux never needs them.
Tradiflux doesn't publish server IP addresses for a whitelist, so create the key without an IP restriction.
Confirm the key and copy the API Key and the API Secret. Bybit shows the secret only once.

Bybit's labels can differ slightly from the ones above. What matters: reading and trading are allowed, withdrawals and transfers are not.

Add Bybit to Tradiflux

Click the exchange switcher in the header, then + Add.
In Exchange, choose ByBit Futures or ByBit Spot.
Keep the suggested Exchange Name or type your own.
Paste the API Key and the API Secret.
Click Add.

Tradiflux checks the key by reading your balance. If Bybit refuses it, you see "Invalid API keys for bybit. Please check your API keys and try again." Check that you copied the whole key and secret and that the key has trading permissions.

One key works for both markets: to trade spot and futures, add it twice, once as ByBit Futures and once as ByBit Spot. More about the dialog: Exchanges.

Bybit Demo Trading

Bybit Demo Trading is Bybit's own practice mode with virtual funds. It is not the old Bybit testnet: keys from testnet.bybit.com don't work in Tradiflux.

On bybit.com, switch your account to Demo Trading.
While in Demo Trading, open API and create a key the same way as above.
In Tradiflux, add it as ByBit Futures (Demo) or ByBit Spot (Demo).

Demo Trading keys work only with the (Demo) account types, and your real keys work only with the real ones. The virtual balance lives on Bybit's side.

If you want to practise without any Bybit account, use the Demo Exchange instead: it needs no keys at all.

Position mode on futures

Tradiflux places Bybit futures orders in Hedge Mode, where a symbol can have a long and a short position at the same time. If a symbol is set to One-Way Mode on Bybit, the order is refused with "This symbol is set to One-Way Mode on Bybit, but Tradiflux requires Hedge Mode", followed by the fix:

Web: Derivatives → any USDT pair → Settings (⚙) → Position Mode → Hedge Mode.
App: Trade → Derivatives → Settings → Position Mode → Hedge Mode.

Bybit won't switch the mode while the symbol has open positions or active orders.

Portfolio Margin accounts work in one-way mode. Tradiflux detects this when you add the account. If you switch your Bybit account to or from Portfolio Margin later, update the keys with Edit (the pencil in the exchange switcher) so Tradiflux detects it again.

Leverage and margin mode

You set leverage in the leverage dialog of the order form; Bybit accepts decimal leverage. The margin mode (Cross or Isolated) can't be changed from Tradiflux on Bybit: the dialog shows it read-only with the hint "You must change margin mode on the exchange website directly." Change it on bybit.com.

When the key stops working

If Bybit refuses the key (it was deleted, lost a permission or expired), the account shows Auth error in the exchange switcher and a banner says "… API keys are invalid". When Bybit reports that the key has expired, you also get an API key expiring notification.

Create a new key on Bybit, then click Edit keys in the banner (or the pencil in the switcher), paste the new API Key and API Secret and click Update. Until then Tradiflux can't place, change or track orders on that account.
